A fun variety, very pretty, and great tasting. Purple Stripes are the ancestor to all other garlics. Chesnok Red is from the Republic of Georgia. It can grow quite large under good conditions. It is slower to start in the spring though so keep that in mind for your location. Make sure to take the scapes off your Purple Stripes for best size.
