Silverskins have many cloves per bulb with a lot of small inner cloves. They may not taste as richly complex as the rocamboles but they store forever. I often have bulbs that are still firm and edible while harvesting the following years crop. Great for a home gardener or farmer who wants a long storage garlic. Very high yields. Better for moderate climates with upstate NY being on the edge of its preferred climate zone.
